On Wednesday 3rd February, Christians all over Britain will be taking part in a day of fasting and prayer for our nation. Will you join them?
Every time we turn on the news, read a newspaper or simply look around in our communities we see our nation's desperate need for a saviour . . . for salvation!
Salvation for our Nation is a grass roots movement dedicated to bringing Christians together by word of mouth, through our website www.salvationforournation.org.uk and through our Facebook page. There is power in prayer, and there is power in unity, so let's join together on February 3rd 2010 and corporately seek God on behalf of our nation.
The concept was inspired by the story of King Jehoshaphat as told in 2 Chronicles 20:1-30. On discovering that a huge army was threatening the nation of Judah, Jehoshaphat called every man, woman and child in the nation to pray and fast. The Lord assured them that the battle was his, and when they went out to fight, they found that God had gone before them and their enemies were all dead. All that remained was to retrieve the spoils of war.
From these events, we learn that:

Unity in prayer is a powerful thing
There is power in humbling ourselves in prayer and fasting before God
The battle belongs to the Lord!
Our responsibility is to reap the harvest.
